The goal of teaching is not only to equip children with numeracy and literacy skills but also to foster and develop in them a love of life-long learning and the skills they need to interact with the world around them.

Welcome to "Watt's The Answer: Educating the Leaders of Tomorrow"! My name is Rachel Watt and I have been teaching part-time since 2001. I am now a full-time classroom teacher and am currently teaching Year 3 in NSW.

As I interact with the world around me I am constantly amazed at the creativity and generosity of so many teachers. It is inspirational to see how other teachers are equipping their students for the journey of life. I am constantly being challenged to explore new ways of becoming an effective teacher. I am determined to never stop learning.
